Testing and Conclusion
This mouse pad was tested using a Microsoft Habu gaming mouse. The surface of this mouse pad is quite smooth, but it does not seem up to par with the other gaming mouse surfaces I have used. It is definitely still faster than using a cheap Walmart mouse pad, and it is still a good way to protect your mouse and desk as well. Because this is mouse pad is designed "for control" I felt like that deserved testing as well. I did indeed have better control using this mouse pad. The mouse felt more secure and less likely to slide around, but it also seemed to catch on the pad sometimes. Last, I had a problem with the size. 8.5" x 11" (paper size) is very small for a mouse pad. I often found myself sliding right off the edge. This got very annoying.
Conclusion
Pros:
· Looks good
· Good control
· Stays in place
Cons:
· Very small
· Questionable Durability
Overall this mouse pad is good for an entry level mouse pad. It performs slightly better than cheap, generic mouse pads but not good enough to truly be a hardcore mouse pad. The durability is questionable only because I have already seen a few snags in the cloth after only a week of use. All things considered, the XtracPads Pro earns a 7/10
