Conclusion

As you can see, the Core Contact Freezer does not perform as well at idle, but the performance really picks up when you get to higher temperatures. The CCF 92mm is much smaller than many of the coolers available, making it great for smaller cases. It is also fairly quiet on low speed; but when the fan is on slow the cooling suffers.

Pros:

  • Price $29.99
  • Size, Fits smaller cases
  • Decent cooling

Cons:

  • Decent (not great) cooling
  • Performs poorly at idle temperatures
  • Designed for LGA775 (though it works with i7)

Overall, the CCF does well. It is a good cooler for the price, but it is not a top of the line, maximum overclock cooler. Because of this, and other factors mentioned the Sunbeam Core Contact Freezer has earned an 8/10
