Microsoft's IntelliPoint and IntelliType software has been criticized for being too simple. Personally I access my mouse/keyboard control software once, and rarely touch it again. With that in mind, I feel it gets the job done.
The first tab is for programming buttons. Each button has an extensive list of options for what you want it to do, plus the ability to program macros. Notice the check box at the bottom right "Enable program-specific settings"? This allows you to set up your buttons differently for every program on your computer. When you load that program, your profile will switch automatically. But what if I am in a game, and the map is loading, so I minimize and pull up Photoshop? Your profile will change to the appropriatte one with every window change, no extra effort required!
Tab two is Pointer profiles. This is one that other than the images hasn't changed in years. Pick the cute little logos that appear when your mouse is in different situations.
Tab three is Pointer Options. A few options to control how your mouse moves. I would be careful changing the mouse speed until you have adjusted the DPI settings.
Tab four is the Scrolling options. This tab lets you change how fast the scroll wheel works, or disable it entirely.
Tab five is Hardware. This is your driver and device page to check on the device status.
Tab six is activities. This tab lets you change the double click speed, and turn on the retarded ClickLock. If you don't believe me, turn it on for a week and then tell me if you like it...
Tab seven is Sensitivity. This tab allows you to change what the DPI on the fly buttons do. The options available are:
Though this is a decent list of options, I wish that there was more freedom on these settings. Would it have been that much harder to let you set it in 100 DPI increments?
