 Everything was assembled and installed as directed by the instructions. The only problem I had was with the fan, I absolutely could not get it to stay on using the provided brackets so I improvised (this will not affect performance). Idle temperatures were taken after all non-essential applications had been closed for 20 minutes to allow ample cool-down time. Load temperatures were taken after a 1 hour run of Blended Stress testing with Prime 95.

Results

These temperatures are not great, but this cooler would perform adequately for nearly all standard applications. Even with a very small overclock (3.0 GHz) this cooler begins to lose performance.

 Conclusion

 At first glance, the TX3 looks like a generic cooler with little potential. It is very similar to many other coolers available on the marke but it performs slightly better for the price (MSRP $19.99). This is also the FIRST cooler I have seen that lists the i5 (1156) as a compatible processor. Not only does this cooler do a decent cooling, it's controllable fan makes it easy to adjust the noise level. Finally, this cooler is much smaller than many others, so its likely that it will fit into your case.

Overall the Hyper TX3 does very well for the price, and it does what it should. The Hyper TX3 is definitely an upgrade from stock cooling, but it isn't designed for extreme overclocking. If you are looking for small, simple, and adequate I DEFINITELY recommend this cooler. If you are looking for a way to achieve an extreme overclock, this may not be the cooler for you.

All things considered the Hyper TX3 has earned an 8/10 for being a great entry level cooler!! Thanks to Cooler Master for the opportunity and all their support!
